I do not usually go shopping in town but I like window-shopping sometimes, especially before Christmas. There are so many interesting things at shops. Streets and shopping centres are full of fake Santa Clauses, elves, angels and other creatures. You can hear music from everywhere which creates a special atmosphere. Of course, this atmosphere is not what it used to be. Today large shopping centres want you to buy their stuff so they can be too pushy sometimes. This is why I usually just watch the shop windows. This is enough for me. Last year, I saw some interesting stuff. There were little toys for kids, book about Christmas time, beautifully ornamented clothes and bedding crib sets. There were no children in my family so I did not really feel a need to buy any of those things. But now the situation has changed. My sister has just had a baby. I will have to choose a nice Christmas present for the child. I guess it is better to buy something useful like a book that the parents might read to their daughter or a CD with classical music for babies. But I might choose one of those baby bedding sets if they are still available. They looked really nice. Christmas will come really quickly. It"s the middle of October so I guess that we might see the first snow really soon.
